Mahindra preparing electric version of Verito

Mahindra & Mahindra recently launched e20 electric automobile and now they are preparing Verito electric model. It is an saloon car and it will be the second electric car from this company in this year.

The electric version of Mahindra Verito will have Reva electric power train inside and it will give 29 kW or 38.9 bhp power. Battery pack takes around 6 hours for charging fully and will give 100 km range. There is also quick charge which can be done in around an hour.

M&M said that they are investing around Rs. 150 crores for developing electric versions of Maxximo and Gio. Pawan Goenka, the president of M&M – automotive and farm equipment said that they will be using electric technology in some of their vehicles. He also said that Maxximo and Gio are almost ready and they have developed prototype for Verito as well.

Goenka further said that they have kept a stock of around 50 electric versions of Maxximo and the company is planning to launch it after assessing customer response to their previous product the -  Mahinda e20.
